Open house fo the Almighty . . .

For Shabbat we went up to the Draper Temple open house. It was just wonderful to take the older children through and have a concentrated gospel teaching moment.

It was really great to show Havalah and J-Bo the sealing room and share with them my testimony of eternal families.

What a blessing that Heavenly Father gives to His children.

Sorry, I have to fight the "lurker" tendancy. It's been a little rougher this week.

Pretty building. Very pretty building.

So what did Havalah and J-Bo have to say?

They loved it. They had lots of questions and explained a bunch of esoteric and endoteric symbolism. Havalah was most fascinated with the Baptismal Font and Sealing Room. J-Bo was most fascinated with the Garden Room, Telestial Room and Celestial Room (guess the Terrestrial Room is relatively boring to a six year old). They both loved the parallel mirrors in the Sealing Room.

Hi, I've been a long-time reader, and forgive me if this is something I shouldn't ask...but I've been wondering, and so now I'm going to!

So...do you go to a regular LDS ward? It sounds like you served a regular LDS mission? And do you get to go to the temple?

I'm just honestly curious. I very much enjoy reading your blog...keep up the good work!
